A Disabled-led programme creating pathways into the arts for Disabled young people across Knowsley and the Liverpool City Region.
Amplify is a programme that supports Disabled young people aged 16–30 to develop creative skills, build confidence and explore meaningful careers in the arts.
What is Amplify?
Amplify combines creative training, leadership development and community support to create accessible routes into the cultural sector. Amplify will run every year for the next 4 years, with a new creative cohort each year.
Amplify is for anyone aged 16-30 who identifies as Deaf, Disabled and/or Neurodiverse.
We have 2 opportunities: Amplify Young Leaders and Amplify Training Company…
Why Amplify?
Getting into the arts industry as a young person can be really difficult, especially for young Disabled people. Disabled people continue to face significant barriers to accessing careers in the arts. Amplify exists to challenge those barriers by creating inclusive, accessible opportunities that support people over time, through sustained learning, mentorship and creative practice.
We're building a community where disabled young people can connect with one another, develop their skills and help shape a better cultural sector together.
The Amplify Young Leaders is a free programme for Disabled young people who want to develop their leadership skills and influence the future of the arts.
Young Leaders will help shape Tip Tray Theatre and the wider Amplify programme by contributing ideas, influencing decision-making and supporting the development of the youth voice within the organisation. Alongside this, they'll receive leadership training with Liverpool Culture Network, gain experience working alongside cultural organisations and build the confidence, knowledge and networks needed to become future leaders in the sector.
Young Leaders sessions are bi-monthly, with opportunities for extra sessions and events taking place throughout the programme. The programme starts September 2026 and will run until September 2027.
