A Verse For…

with RAWD

RAWD (Random Acts of Wildness Disability) and Tip Tray Theatre joined forces to create A Verse For..., a trilogy of original plays through poetry celebrating the creativity, experiences and perspectives of disabled artists.

Taking place across Liverpool, Chester and Ellesmere Port July 2026, the project brought together 60 disabled artists to explore the themes of past, present and future through a mixture of classic, modern and original poetry.

Developed collaboratively by RAWD and Tip Tray Theatre, A Verse For... was been shaped by the voices, experiences and creative contributions of 60 disabled artists and the wider RAWD community. The project culminated in three performances:

A Verse For...Yesterday – Unity Theatre, Liverpool

A Verse For...Today – Storyhouse, Chester

A Verse For...Tomorrow – Theatre Porto, Ellesmere Port

Together, the three performances explored childhood, identity, independence, hope and the disabled experience, creating a powerful snapshot of the past, present and future through poetry.
